Oh Nicole. I'm still just at a loss you are gone. This shouldn't be where I am talking to you. I hope you know just how much you have impacted the kids you touched, the people you smiled at and the friendships you developed. Your ideas to better serve the kids were amazing and you did nothing less than shoot for the stars to make it all happen. And because of your determination and love, many of them came to life. Strawberry Hill school will be forever better because of the "ideas" you brought to life.
I'm sure I am the only one who could say I felt the love when I would come into the office and you'd look at me and say, "why are you here?" with a grin ear to ear. Sure, my visits didn't always entail good news, but rather a problem I knew you could handle. We'd bounce solutions off each other and question ourselves on why we chose this profession when having a rough day. I know this to be true, you chose this profession because you wanted to help kids and be an advocate for those who didn't have one. I hope you knew what a difference you were making and now see the impact you have left.
I don't want to believe this is good bye, but rather see you later. I will do my best to help Greta keep your "ideas" alive and working at the school as I really enjoyed helping the two of you with the WatchDogs and S.A prevention curriculum.
Thank you for being you and doing the wonderful things you do. Know that Kiptyn will have so many people watching out for him here, as well as an amazing guardian angel in you.
Miss you.
Amy
