WHITE SETTLEMENT -- Elbert Paul Butler, 79, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012.

Service: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Laurel Land Funeral Home.

Elbert was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Vinemont, Ala., to Violet and O.W. Butler. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and two brothers.

Survivors: Loving wife, Wanda Butler; daughters, Rebecca June Thompson (Rick), Paula Irene Karr (Johnie) and Kelly White; sons, Gil Butler and Thurman Butler (Ruthy); 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Oma Lee Broadway and Sally Diapagan; and many relatives and friends.
